About the Position

This Training Manager is responsible for developing a comprehensive training program utilizing adult learning concepts and integrating appropriate delivery channels to communicate to the organization. Specifically, this individual will ensure relevant and timely training is delivered through the use of trainers throughout the organization or by partnering with outside sources to deliver specific training needs. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all training modules are developed with clear objectives and ability to measure behavioral changes. Lastly, this individual will be responsible for coaching and monitoring all trainers.

VMS is actively searching for an organized, self motivated, positive, proactive individual to join the team as a Training Specialist. The Training Specialist will assist the team by providing the following support:


Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a centralized training resource across the organization

- Working closely with organization leadership and SMEs, oversee integrated training program to streamline standard operating procedure (SOP) training, job aid training, and role specific skill training

- Deliver all trainings related to:
1.VMS SOPs
2. Adherence to all master contracts/agreements
3. Industry compliance standards

- Working closely with Human Resources, develop and maintain role specific training plans and advise on VMS core curriculum needs

- Review all role specific training modules to ensure clear objectives, ability to measure behavior changes / comprehension, and relevancy

- Drive the development of training module content

- Maintain high level understanding of client specific procedures and tools to ensure integration into appropriate organization wide trainings

- Attend client specific supplier trainings; evaluate relevancy to organization and facilitate roll-out to appropriate team(s) via trainers

- Provide oversight on all training modules to ensure consistent messaging and delivery across organization

- Work closely with Compliance & Business Integration team to identify process breakdowns and areas for improvement

- Act as liaison with internal teams to assess current/future training needs; identify appropriate internal or external resources to meet needs

Identify trainers within organization; coach and mentor trainers

Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge and application of adult learning concepts
- Dynamic communication skills; strong background in facilitating both large and small group trainings
- Experience in developing training programs, including module and content development
- Background in developing train the trainer programs
- Awareness and application of appropriate channels (web-based, classroom settings, interactive, hand-on) to deliver content
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong written communication; ability to develop content
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint
- Bachelor Degree, required
- At least five (5) years of training experience
