CIASTD FOOD FOR THOUGHT SESSIONS
Check back later for future Food for Thought Sessions
What are Food for Thought Sessions?
Food for Thought sessions are a chance for CIASTD members to meet quarterly on a regional basis to informaly discuss relevant topics over the lunch or breakfast hour. Food for Thoughts will offer members a chance to network, to learn from each other and to participate in convenient locations around the central Indianapolis area.
CIASTD will offer Food for Thought opportunities in five areas to start. If demand warrants, we would consider expansion into other geographic areas or meeting more frequently. Food for Thoughts will be held at local restaurants that offer space for groups to meet or public meeting spaces that will allow members to bring food in.
The target areas are:
- North East – the Fishers / Lawrence area
- North West – the Carmel / Zionsville area
- Center City
- South – Greenwood area
- South West – Airport / I 465 West area
We are going to offer 4 Food for Thought opportunities in 2009 that focus on topics that have been presented in our other CIASTD programming. As such, the following is a tentative schedule of weeks and topics for our Food for Thought sessions:
Week of March 23: Measurement and Evaluation
Week of June 1: How to Engage Learners
Week of Aug. 24: Best Practices in Your Learning Function (focus on those providing internal workplace learning)
Week of Nov. 16: E-LearningThere is no charge to attend Food for Thought sessions, but members will need to cover the cost of their own food.
