Track
1: E-Learning Basics
This track will focus on the helping members learn the basics of e-learning and
general distance education. Participants will learn about basic terminology,
course design, asynchronous vs synchronous learning channels and LMS implementation.
Track 2: E-Learning Applications
This track will focus on helping members learn about popular elearning applications.
Participants will learn about how to utilize and learn e-learning applications
such as Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate or Lectora and also how to best select
that application
for their needs.
Track 3: Managing the E-Learning Function
This track will focus on helping members learn about managing the e-learning
function within their organization. Participants will learn how to create a e-learning
strategy, functionality and workflow of learning management and the future of
online learning and knowledge networks.

Elearning Tools and Processes: An Introduction for the Bewildered Novice |
1. Participants will gain a framework of understanding about elearning that provides the necessary context so that researching elearning products and defining systems makes sense. 2. Yes. Elearning novices will receive a clear, concise, non-technical overview of elearning to put them on the path to making decisions about their elearning programs with confidence. 3. The handout will include a summary of the presentation with additional information geared towards the novice elearning manager. A list of additional resources available on the web will be included as well. |

1. Participants will become familiar with Moodle, and learn about
using resources and activities in Moodle. 2. Participants will be shown some of the benefits and concerns with using an open-source learning management system. 3. Participants will receive a handout describing Moodle and its uses as an LMS. |

1. Participants will learn how visualization, coupled with interactivity
is a powerful combination for relaying concepts and connecting learners to content. 2. Participants will be challenged to think differently about eLearning design and be provided with key concepts to help them think about how visualization can bring content to life. 3. We will provide some sample e-Learning modules that they can take with them as well as share the presentation deck that we will prepare. |

| Track 3 | Beyond Page-Turning: Which Technologies Should You Choose? |
1. Explore an array of technologies and social networks and assess the pro’s and con’s of each as a learning tool. 2. Identify key considerations when deciding whether to incorporate a new technology or tool. 3. Identify a process for exploring and evaluating a new technology. 4. Leave with an evaluation matrix that will help them do ongoing evaluations as new technologies and tools emerge. |
